Hi;

I am trying to get a better midi piano sound. I have purchased Garritan's JABB3 so I think that I have a good starting point.

Right now the piano sounds like it's coming out of a 12" PA speaker (which it is) and I'm hoping to make it sound more "airy" or "open" -- for lack of a better terms. I'm having trouble putting my description of the sound into words.

I've been reading about how to do this. Some people have had success by adjusting reverb. I have had some success with this on other sounds like a rim tap on a snare drum but I haven't had any success with a piano sound.

I've tried doubling the piano, and pasting it on a 2 tracks panned left and right. I offset the tracks by a few ticks. I have not achieved great results and I'm worried about doing this because when I play with a partner on his equipment, the tracks come out mono.

Is there a RealBand trick that I don't know about?

Thanks for the help.
