The amplifier has a headphones jack so you may be able to connect to your computer via the USB connection and monitor the computer audio and your playing through the headphone jack.

For play along run a cable from your computer line out or headphone jack to the auxiliary in jack on the amplifier, monitor through the headphone jack on the amplifier.

Per the amplifier webpage:

The Katana-50 MkII features USB and phones/recording outputs with mic'd cabinet emulation, letting you send mix-ready amp tones to a computer DAW or headphones.
so we know the amplifier usb port passes audio out (from amp to computer). Does the Boss Katana 50 MKII user manual state the amplifier USB port passes audio in (from computer to amplifier)?
