Following your instructions to place the cursor at beat 3 defaults the beat to the correct place in each entry.

That's a great point. I'll update the pdf (with appropriate reference to you smile ). I have never used "Append" and it didn't occur to me to investigate what it does. Using it certainly streamlines things, though.
