Janice and Bud said it perfectly, in my view: "Your soulful vocal sounds like it was born for that lyric". Absolutely.
The lyric is of the very highest level. Your writing matches that perfectly. Your singing - you know what I think about the sincerity in your voice and delivery ... right up there. I couldn't care less about the production aspects ... who gives a so and so whether the drums are a little louder or quieter? haha. I know that those are important aspects of things, too, but ... the WRITING (both music and lyrics), the SINGING here is what I feel matter.
In short: tremendous job ... says it all about all of us musicians trying to wring out our hearts in songs - all of it said in a deceptively simple-sounding four minute song.
Oh, and - whatever you do: KEEP GOING. Please. Thanks.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
