So the video does a good job at explaining how this works. But here is a bit more perspective. First this is generally an alternative to the Kontakt Player or full Kontakt host. Many of the samples (all of them are free) in PianoBook required the full $$ Kontakt 5 or 6 to play them. So this is now a new free alternative for playing the libraries.

A warning to those who have not gone down the rabbit hole with Pianobook libraries. Once you get hooked there is no going back. So be sure to invest in a big harddrive. Enjoy.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
