Help! Tech S.O.S (Off topic)

New to BIAB 2021. Picked a style, added some chords, then recorded a melody via a MIDI keyboard. Exported as a multi-track midi file, which I import into my sequencer for further work. On playback in that sequencer:
1. The first two bars of the song are not there. The song starts at bar three. No matter how often I go back to BIAB and fiddel with settings, song start and end, etc, same exact outcome
2. The meldoy seems to start immediately, being now two bars early
3. Same with a MIDI drum kit: if I replace the drum track with my own in BIAB, when I export, it's signifncatly off time (not exactly two bars, but close)
Not using Realband. Not using multiple styles. Song starts at bar 1 and ends at the last bar. No repeats, codas, etc.
What am I missing?

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
