Down At "The Maverick's Bar"

The words are original but the theme could be considered well-worn standard fare.

Hard Rock is definitely not my usual style so I was way out of my comfort zone here!

BIAB Style: HROCKLA

Tracks:
995:Bass, Electric, HardRockLA Ev120 (Reverb 15; Tone -2)
RealDrums+RockHardLA (Reverb 15; Tone -4)
999:Guitar, Electric Rhythm HardRockLAFuzzyA-B Ev 120 (Reverb 40; Tone 10)
996:Guitar, Electric Rhythm HardRockLACrispA-B Ev 120 (Reverb 40; Tone 10)

To which I added:
686:Organ, B3, BackgrounfPop Ev 120 (Reverb 22; Tone 0)
1169:Guitar, Electric, Soloist RockMeduimBrent Ev 120 (Reverb 75; Tone 15)

I tried various keys, starting with E, going as high as Ab before settling on Gb. Tempo began at 120 but, as the story developed, I wound it up to 140.

Down At “The Maverick’s Bar”

Spend all day working hard on the factory floor
Waiting for the whistle to blow at half-past four.
That foreman's giving me grief and I'm looking for some relief
But that won't happen till I clock off and I run out the door.

Friday night it's a totally different scene
When our band gets together,
we pretend that we're living the dream
Down at "The Maverick's Bar," I plug in my magic guitar
Crank up the amp and I let those awesome humbuckers scream

Joey's our drummer and he never misses a beat.
And Mike plays rhythm -- gets the crowd up on their feet
And even when he's off his face, Phil plays a mean P-bass
Sandy's on keys -- she's the real bees knees
and she sings so sweet

Friday night it's a totally different scene
When our band gets together, we pretend that we're living the dream
Down at "The Maverick's Bar," I plug in my magic guitar
Crank up the amp and I let those awesome humbuckers scream

My music may not set the world on fire but if it causes a glow in just one person's heart, it has all been worthwhile smile
