Awesome story of someone putting their talents and passion into the Nashville chipper-shredder, Floyd! I read every word and it's a story I've heard several times by acquaintances and friends - at least in the general sense.
I was down there for two years (89-90) but you made a heckuva lot more progress then I ever did! You should be proud of all those near misses and the ones you actually did have success getting recorded. You should consider joining NSAI. I assume you know about it already, but I think it's a great org for networking and staying inspired with and by other songwriters around the world.
I agree that BIAB is a great tool for songwriters. To be honest, they should hire me as their marketing manager with all the kudos I've given it to folks in and out of my chapter. LOL
Again, thanks for the inspiring and amazing recall of your songwriting past, Floyd.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
