I am taking part in FAWM again this year and I thought some of you may be interested in my process on this one.

Breezy Daydreams

It was in response to a challenge to write a song from a Lana Del Rey Title Generator https://www.vfiles.com/ldrgenerator. I chose "Breezy Daydream" because there was some pretty dark stuff there!

I used https://www.lyriclab.net/ to help generate the lyrical idea. This FAWM I vow to work on manipulating the basic idea created by LyricLab into something less generic.

I then used Band-in-a-Box to help work through the musical bed and melody. I didn’t spend too much time on the arrangement because, well you know FAWM😀

I then recorded my vocal, put it through Melodyne, removed the breath noises and then used https://create.musicfy.lol to create an AI vocal that I hoped sounded a little LDRísh. I put the AI vocal through Nectar.

I used RealBand to create some harmonies of my vocals. I used Melodyne to create a MIDI track of my vocal and used that to create the string part in the instrumental break (this could have been better if I could remember how to use Dimension Pro).

I have to say that I do prefer the vocals that https://create.musicfy.lol gives me over my own. I am so thoroughly sick of listening to my own singing voice smile
