Hello everyone,
My name is Mike and I'm getting some idea's together for my dissertation (hopefully to start collecting data summer 2011).

So my idea's surround the notion of kids creating music with the computer and collaborating--in person and virtually--and i need some tools to help make this happen.

My background, before grad school, was an audio engineer and needless to say, some of the tools i am used too are a bit pricey and require a bit of background knowledge.

I like BiaB because it, to me, seems intuitive and not 'clunky' like some software packages are.

Anyway, I will be working in an after-school program with kids that range from 8 to 13 years old. The computers they have are decent Dell desktops running windows XP. What, if any, issues might come up if i'm running the latest BiaB w/ Windows XP?

Also, is there an online community, based on BiaB, in which users can interact and get feedback on their collaborations (sorta like iComopositions.com)?

Thanks for any feedback on BiaB.

-Mike
