Acoustic Interlude #1

Back in late 2014 and halfway through 2015, I was undergoing chemo for cancer. I had little to no feeling in my fingers, so I wrote a series of acoustic 2-track pieces ( 8 - 10 in all, don't remember exactly). I simply named them with succeeding numbers. This is the first of them.

Hope you enjoy it. It came out a little louder than I had intended.

RealTracks in song: 1814:Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking CelticAir Ev 085
RealTracks in song: ~409:Fiddle, Background George Ev 085

Thanks in advance,

Alan

Alan,

This is quite a beautiful piece... A very soulful and deep sound. Love the way the fiddle weaves in and around the guitar.

Alan, this very pretty and quite nicely mixed. Don't find any part of the mix too loud but I'm always tweaking with my speaker volume so might not notice a "loud" master. Great job, thanks for sharing!

Yeah this is really nice Alan.

Very soothing.

I could listen to a whole album like this, relaxing by the fire.

Ah, music is the great healer, and you know it first-hand, Alan. And here you share the healing powers. So well played and crafted. I hope we get to hear all 9 of them. That guitar sounds fabulous --as does the cello --er, violin.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Alan,

SO well done.
A great balance between the acoustic and fiddle. A great sound.

Your instrumentals are Enjoyable to listen to.
It is always obvious that you take a lot of time and care to make these "right".

Alan, this is an outstanding song.
Two instruments mixed to perfection.
I really liked this one.

Hi Ron,

I thought the entire volume was a couple of DBS louder than I had intended. But I'm glad it flowed nicely for you. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for letting me know.

Hi Mario,

Thanks a bunch. The mixing actually went rather quickly. The two instruments just gel so nicely together. Again, a big thanks!

Two of my favorite instruments put together in a fine duet. The fiddle provide a yearning sound that is underscored by the acoustic picking. Very nice indeed!

I loved this piece. The guitar and fiddle worked so well together; I especially appreciate the mellow tones of the fiddle even in the higher ranges.
