I am trying to put together a medley of patriotic songs and am using bar setting to change the styles at the various transitions. I now have a problem where there are drums that are playing out of time and in the wrong style throughout the song. Has anyone else had something like this happen and more importantly how to fix it. I already have all of the chords in. If I was going to do this again I would input the various songs and probably use the Medly Maker.

What version / build of BIAB are you using?

Do you have any bars that are outside the overall time signature (such as a 2/4 bar in a 4/4 song)? Also, do you change time signatures like going from 4/4 to 3/4?

Thinking a little further, it might be best to freeze the Drums track before uploading the song.

I've had similar problems with drums. Not any real timing issues but drum tracks that get frozen somehow and won't overwrite when changing styles or realdrums. Nothing to do with freeze settings but somehow frozen behind the scenes.
I've never quite figured out how to reproduce it, or how I've fixed it when I have managed to. Some songs I couldn't fix and had to create a new song and copy the chords over to start again.
The only thing I do know is this will happen after I've added a drum intro in song settings or changed something in part markers.

I haven't been able to activate a sharing site for the file. I just re-entered and used the Medley Maker, and it is doing the same thing where I am getting drums out of sync and I think additional instruments. It is like it cannot keep the styles all separated. Pretty frustrating. I am starting to think maybe I have a corrupt file or something. I did try and reload Band In A Box to and reset to factory setting without any luck.

Update: I sent the file to PG Support to look at. I finally found one style that worked pretty well throughout the song and with that. I cleared all bar changes that the medley maker had put in and then had to go back and make some tempo changes at the various bars for the various songs. It appears that the problem has to do with utilizing multiple styles within the Medley Maker or at least one of the styles. I will update if PG Music gets back with me and we can understand the problem.

This is a recognized bug that I have already reported to the developers, they are working on it and it should be corrected in a future version. We have reported this issue to our development team for further review and patching, and will reach out as soon as we have further information. This bug does not appear to be in the 1109 build of Band-in-a-Box 2024. We would recommend downloading and installing the 1109 build from our site here: https://update.pgmusic.com/support/patch/bb2024_win_update_build1109.exeIf there is anything else we may help with, please feel free to reach out. So going back to 1109 helps a lot.

From what I can understand, a known issue that was introduced in build 1111 at the start of April still hasn't been addressed at the end of June. Therefore users are still encountering this same issue several months later.
If that's the situation, I will know how to assist users who might encounter this problem in the future. I can let them know that it's an existing known bug still waiting to be addressed.

From what I can understand, a known issue that was introduced in build 1111 at the start of April still hasn't been addressed at the end of June. Therefore users are still encountering this same issue several months later. This was one of several reasons why I mostly stopped doing 'deep dive' exploration into bugs with a view to finding out how to make them repeatable. I spent many hours trying to be helpful about bugs that were already known to the developers but not to me/us.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
