This is a very tricky question. Because realtrack is an important part of BIAB, I need to know a lot and learn a lot. But it is very inconvenient to audition.
Or you can make it like other sounds, with a very regular extension list, instead of just putting a bunch of things there and not caring about it. This may be very convenient for you. But it is very inconvenient for users. Classify all realtracks so that we can click on them every time, instead of searching every time. Yes, it is indeed possible to search, but it is hard to remember.
Or, you can look at how other music companies classify their sounds? ?
I can't even find the location I just heard, how can you let me edit my favorite list?
Is it to let users adapt to the product, or is it to make the product more comfortable for users to use?
Most importantly, this kind of return failure is actually an old problem. I remember asking this in 2019. Now it is almost 2025. At that time, the problem appeared on the stylepicker, and BIAB designed a refresh button, but this refresh button was later cancelled! We have discussed this issue at least ten times.
Let me show you how other music software classifies materials. Very convenient. Click to enter. There is a directory. Easy to remember. Fast. On the left is the expansion, and on the top is the classification. Just click to enter. And you can search.
Can BIAB's real tracks be classified like this? Separate all kinds of instruments and guitars?
Maybe you should go to the Wish List section and put in a wish for how you would like it to work.
There are too many wish lists. I think the BIAB team should know better than me what should be done to make it more convenient. I won't submit a wish list.
I should spend time listening to various realtracks, although I often lose the list, but I still have to listen to it. In case I can't find the content I just found. I also have to take a pen to record the RT number. These things have never happened in other music software.
One idea is to watch some of the RealTracks videos on YouTube. +++ HERE +++ is the video that presents a small sample of demo songs that use the RealTracks released in 2025. Make a note of what interests you.
Alternately you can visit PG Music's +++ RealTracks +++ and listen to the demo songs there. Newer demo songs have both the solo instrument and the instrument in a band setting.

The PG Music boot camp video series are some great tutorials about how different ways you can use Band-in-a-Box features. Navigate to YouTube, use the search term "PG Music boot camp" then filter on upload date. That will give you the most recent boot camp videos that will help you use some of the newer features.

The layout of this page is very good. I think this content should be in the BIAB program, not on the website, I think this is the best. There is a directory, a list, and you can view it in the BIAB software.

The filter function is very good. But the filter function cannot replace the basic catalog of instruments. As the realtrack software has more and more content, it is not enough to rely on search and filtering. BIAB must create its own catalog of instruments, buttons, opening, arrangement, and easy viewing.
It's like WINDOWS has a search function, so does it not need folders? Anyway, everything is stored on the hard drive, and you can search for whatever you need? This is obviously unreasonable.

In this video, we can see a refresh button. This refresh button was designed with great difficulty. The purpose of the refresh button is to retrieve the lost list. I think you call it focus? I don't know this term. Anyway, it is to find the position you just clicked.
But this refresh button disappeared in 2024. From then on, the position you just clicked began to be lost again.
For me, this button should appear in stylepicker, realtrack, etc.
