For (1) I think you would need to increase the number of staves per page in the Leadsheet options.
For (2) you can have part markers start a new line, but it does stretch out the bars. In the Notation Options you can set 'New line each' part marker, and in the Lead sheet window you need to de-select the Fakesheet mode checkbox. Alternatively you can leave Fakesheet mode checked, and set the number of bars per line in the Lead sheet options (Fake sheet bars/line -- comma separated list of numbers.
