So, I'm trying to do a backing track for "Until You Come Back To Me" by Aretha Franklin, written by Stevie Wonder. How can I get the band to kick at the 3rd measures of the intro, which would be kicks on "& 4 &.. & 2 &.."?
I'm having a difficult time getting Chord Options and Microchord Settings to play nice together for such a hit.

I'm not sure if this will work, but presumably you have tried 'Pushes' which will make the chord play ahead of the beat?
To do this, precede the chord with a caret sign '^'. A single caret will push by an 1/8th beat and two carets (^^) will precede the cord by a 1/16th beat, e.g.: ^^Em7.

That's a start, but can't push by an eighth note *and* have the band on the beat. I was trying one chord with a push, and then microchords to put chords on the beat. Those don't really work together all that well. The microchords don't have the same dynamics as the pushes.
Having the band kick on eighth notes seems like an activity that happens fairly frequently in music. PG Music should consider making that happen.

If you fail to find something suitable, you could switch to MIDI and write/edit the hits yourself.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.

Playable Real Tracks for all of the instruments? Sure that work with Real Drums? Oddly enough, I'm finding a number of examples of tunes in which I need band kicks on subsequent eighth notes. I was considering copying a good kick in the drum part, and pasting it wherever necessary.
Someone suggested that to me a few years ago, doing a track without changes but lots of part markets to check out different drum fills to steal from, and have a library of drum fills to choose from. Seems like a [*****] ton of work.

Maybe a suggestion should be made for Chord Options to include Kicks along with Rests, Holds, and Shots.
I'd also like to inquire about these options to be made available for Microchords as well.
