My own new song about a folk musician's life in western swing style, where I sing (in Finnish) and play guitar and plectrum banjo. I produced this at my home with Band in a Box and Reaper.
Now with the original lyrics and my rough translation into English!
Uusi lauluni pelimannin elosta western swingin tapaan, jossa laulan ja soitan kitaraa ja plectrum banjoa. Tuotin tämän kotonani Band in a Boxilla ja Reaperilla. Nyt mukana sanat ja raakakäännökseni Englanniksi!

Minä teille kai nyt soittaa saan? I surely can play for you?
Minä soitan ihan mitä vain. I can play anything.
Tämän lahjan kun mä kerran sain. because I got this gift.

Minä takaan tahdin tarkimman, I quarantee the most accurate beat,
rytmin kaikkein hurjimman. the most wild rhythm.
Aamuun asti valvotan. I'll make you wake up untill the morning

Teitä saan kai tanssittaa? Surely I can make you dance?

Teille laulan viisut, tarinat. I'll sing to you songs and stories.
Aivan hurjat, uskomattomat. Quite wild and unbelievable ones.
Mutta totta joka juttu on. But every story is true.
Juuri siksi on niin verraton. That's way they are so great.

Ne naurattaa, ne itkettää. They make you laugh, they make you cry.
Ei tylsää hetkee koskaan jää. There's no dull moments.
Aamuun asti valvotan. I'll make you wake up untill the morning.

Arri, this is a really good song.
Super backing band and great picking
FWIW I think the vocal should be a tad louder.

Arri, I’m a big fan of this type of ethic/folk music…I’m glad it’s part of our listening experience here on the forum. I’d like very much to understand the lyric..is there any way you can include an English translation? Thank you for helping me feel a little Finnish this morning!

Hi. I'm learning to copy my lyrics from a BiaB MGU song file:
I get them pasted here via clipboard, but they came as a row per measure, so it took a lot of editing to change it more reader friendly.
I have all my songs printed out as music sheets as pdf files, but can I attache them some way with my song postings?
I try to do a rough translation into English, but anyhow here are my original lyrics in Finnish:

Sorry. The outlook changed after posting: the translation was in it's own column, but I hope you can read it anyway.

If someone likes to get the music sheet of the song, I can send it as a pdf-file or a BiaB MGU-file without my own tracks.
The style I used, was _WSBAND1.STY Western Swing Band. I took from there bass, drums, pedal steel, mandolins and fiddle.
I sing and play guitar and plectrum banjo (also in the solo).

If someone fancies to rhyme my song into English: that is, wordt into a singable form, I promise to produce and post it.

And I would really appreciate, if someone would sing it for me, because I'm not a singer.

I have made a couple of remote co-productions so, that the singer or a solo player records his or her own track and sends it to me. Then I paste it to my Reaper song project and mix and master it to be published the way we'll agree.
