TRANSLATION INTO ENGLISH:
(Very hard to translate, because my original Finnish lyrics we're based much play upon the words.)

It came from the Customs, hardly a human at all.
Smelly brought by a train, so we categorisize.

Refrain:
But we're all away from somewhere, a native of something,
except those, who are from nowhere. [saying meaning, that are no good].

Just after the icecap had been melted, we came to Nordic.
From every point of the compass we populated Finland.

Refrain

Twice they had to leave Carelia
evacuate from the war and had to leave everything behind.

Outro:
We can well take new comers in turn.
Harmony will give room enough for everyone, we can all fit in.

I really enjoyed listening to this! The opening bass riff immediately grabbed my attention. Great work with BIAB!
While there is a challenge listening to lyrics in an unfamiliar language, you can still see/hear the skill with which the rhyme schemes were put together.
FIne work!!

Hello Brno,
please read the guidelines at the top of the main forum page and try not to blanket the forum with multiple songs within a short time frame.
I'll have a listen when you've settled down.

Cheers

Dear Veteran, I have posted maybe altogeher five songs during the past years. First two of my songs in English. Now three new ones in Finnish once, because I haven't been here for a year. So it counts maybe a song or two per year, so be patient. I won't be posting for a long time again.

I think you missed the point.
You'll get more interest, more comments, more suggestions and more of everything if you stagger your posts allowing folk time to get to them. As it stands your posts compete with each other and push each oter down the page when one or the other receives a response.

Dear Veteran,
If I would like to get as much interests and likes and plays in SoundCloud, which I use, in the first place I would write all of my songs in English. But as it's not my native language, I write my lyrics mostly in Finnish. That's limits the audience to just to comment my melodies, arrangements, presentations etc. and those I get very seldom.
First I posted some years ago two of my songs in English. Now I was brave enough to post also my latest songs in Finnish. I did it in one session, because I seldom visit here.
After response, I thought to translate these songs in English, but as an amateur, I was afraid that the message would be lost in translation.
So honestly I didn't give a thought how to post my songs here, while my main media is Facebook, where I reach a lot of my fellow citizens.
But thanks for your hint and looking for your comments and suggestions of my songs themselves.

P.S. A second thought: do you think, that it would be useful, if I post the original lyrics in Finnish? There maybe quite good translators available.

Arri, welcome back! Like the arrangement on this with the busy bass section introducing the next vocal section. Also like the prejudice theme you describe on the SoundCloud page. Pretty easy to use Google translate (etc) to help the listeners who don't understand Finnish though. For constructive input, your vocals are perhaps a little too saturated with reverb, you might wish to experiment with that. Would be helpful if you could post which BiaB instruments you used. Instructions for doing this easily are on the User Forum home page. I agree with Ray's point that you will get more listens and more useful input if you pace the posting of your songs on this forum. Happy playing!

Now I added song info and translation into English.
That was hard to do, because my original Finnish lyrics are so much based on paly upon words and old local sayings.

Thanks Ron, I do appreciate to get also advices how to improve my productions. You hit to the point: my weakness is my singing, because I am not a real singer. In bands I have played, has always been real vocalists, so I was at my home playing rhythm guitar and also banjos and mandolins. Now, when I produce songs at my home alone, I have to sing myself.
To hide my weak voice (I was a high tenor with lost high register by ageing - I'm 71) I have tried every trick of the trade: compression, reverberation, a short delay as voice fattener and even RealTune. I have got remarks, that they make vocals too muddy and reverb. I agree.
So I have in my latest recordings trusted more to my natural voice with it's fragility and stopped using to much effects.
The best encouraging comment I got from a young man: I can hear the miles behind you, which gives respect to your singing.
I am fond of the late recordings of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, so I try to follow them, but of course on a lower level as an amateur.
