I was listening to Keith Jarrett play this the other day and really liked the alternate chord changes he used. So... I used the standard changes on the melody and used Keith Jarretts alternate changes for the solo section. Enjoy!

Really nicely done, Steve. I enjoyed the combination of chord changes. One comment about your description on YouTube. Condenser mics DO require phantom power. Dynamic and ribbon mics don't. Your Sennheiser 441 is a dynamic mic, which I think is what you meant to say.

Thanks! I love that old Metheny Unity Band shirt. It's gotten a lot of wear. I wonder if he still has some for sale... gonna have to check his website.
PS - I saw Pat Metheny with Joshua Redmen, Christian McBride and Jack DeJohnette. What a fantastic show. They were so in the pocket and jamming that they were told to take a break so the venue could sell its stuff!

Hello, Steve. Bye-Bye Bllackbird. Keith jarret was a sensational drummer back in the day at the Deer Head. His Koln concert double album is still one of my all-time favorites. Man, you so this song justice, Steve. Soaringly sweet in timber and taste. Excellent arangement.
