Many versions of the song have been recorded, the most popular of which was by Mitch Miller, whose version reached No. 1 in the United States in 1955. Its popularity made it an unofficial state song of Texas (the actual state song is "Texas, Our Texas"). In my western swing version I sing and play banjos (tenor and plectrum) and guitar. DC Ron Veteran Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 2,547	Arri, we don't get a lot of western swing on this forum, and probably even less tenor/plectrum banjos, so this was a delightful listen. Good use of BiaB instruments, and I particularly liked your percussive use of the banjos. Couple of tips: You might get more quality listens to your music if you space your postings out a bit. Ten in ten days is a lot, relatively speaking. Also, you might also consider contributing to activity other than your own posts. Just thoughts to get your posts noticed more. OP Brno Apprentice Joined: Apr 2015 Posts: 207	Thanks Ron. I have recorded since I retired in 2016 over 140 songs. 41 of them are now available in SoundCloud. So there is big temptations post all of them also here. But I got your point: I try to post from now on only once a week, not every day. I have listened songs others have posted. I have been surprised of the quality, even tho many of them don't meet my musical taste. So I have tried to comment those I do like and also if I have some constractive ideas. Very often the songs posted here are so well done, that I don't have anything to add.
