Road Hog

Just having a little fun

The drums and guitar tracks Are from BiaB style RoadHog1 - Slow Even 8ths hard rock - Hence the title!
Guitar - Ultra Analog VA-3 - Preset - Clav Funk
Drums - Steve Slate's SSD5 - Deluxe 2 Alternate
Percussion - Kontakt - Indiginus Brio - Tambourine and Congo drum

I am playing my Squire bass and Xaviere 335 P90s guitar.
Via my keyboard controller the Arturia B3 organ and the synth lead; my custom sound.

As always all comments are welcomed.

Hi Mario!
The style and the tune did give me the impression of a car in front weaving all over the road - oblivious to the frustration of vehicles behind trying to pass.

Super slick, Mario! Groovy BiaB sound, and your live instrument choices and playing are superb. Bold mix, too. If somebody had told me this was a Billy Preston track, I'd just nod my head. Of course it is! Great job channeling your inner Road Hog. smile

Cool, Mario. Man, many times I use the style name in the name of the song. It would eitherr be that or some nearby household item. Those drums have some cool sounds. The organ is the chord-director. Good sounding bass and very supportive. I really dig the melody, and the way you layer it with bandmate support.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanx Ron. Thanx for that Billy Preston comment. I know that I am nowhere near as good of a musician as he is but I do appreciate the comment.

Thanx so much Marty for this very kind review. I always appreciate your comments. If I live long enough maybe I can be as good of a bassist as you are.

That would be a great tune for Lester "Road Hog" Moran and the boys.

Sounds like it was fun.

The Cadillac Cowboys with Lester Road Hog Moran was the alter ego of the Statler Brothers. It takes a lot of talent to sound that ...shall we say ... Unique?. We used a few of the CC skits in our stage show back in the day.

I thought they looked familiar but couldn't figure it out even though in the video I saw they mentioned the Statler Brothers!

Very, very quirky instrumental! From the get go I thought quirky lyrics would suit it. It sounds made for a vocal song.

Some favourite Waoist Adages:
#1: Play on the Way.
#13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you.
#58: Bring consciousness to it.
#63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made.
#92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.
