Ode to BobA best friend, a co-composer, an excellent guitarist BobH has passed and now is playing in God's heaven. I tried to emulate the sorrow and at times frustration this sad event has caused for friends and family. I can hear the ache in this piece. I am so sorry for your loss - it is clear that Bob and his friendship mean a lot to you. While it is comforting to know he has gone to a better place, it is the loss of everything they were in THIS place that can be so hard to bear. I pray that in the days ahead, your memories of him will preserve you and make you smile. Our thoughts are with you.

"Ode to Bob" is a beautifully realized composition—a fitting and heartfelt farewell that demonstrates the enduring bond between two musician friends. It is a moving meditation on friendship and the painful reality of saying goodbye.
That is my take away from your profoundly magnificent personal and affecting instrumental tribute.

Bob has finally decided to join the celestial band. He’s just relocated to a venue with better acoustics and a much more impressive lineup.

Just from the title I suspected the loss. So sorry to hear, Mario. You two were special, and I'm glad you're pouring out that special connection in this fabulous tribute. Chills hold back the tears, but the sadness is loud, yet tamed in wonderful memories. You had mentioned your Sunday-kind-of-love with Bob had bumps, but the love remains. This is beautiful, Mario. I'm sorry to hear about Bob. You have made a beautiful tribute to him. Sorrow is deeply present in your playing, in the melody and in the chord progression. The calm instrumentation feels like a Sunday morning... I really liked the heavenly end, like a smile from a cloud.
