May I re-introduce: Goldmania Bella
(The best One-Man Girlband in the world)
New Album: Dark
[Linked Image from goldmania-bella.com]

Best One-Man Girlband in the world?
Definitely!
Because it's the only one.
The guy behind Milli Vanilli was a close contender, but the German Research Center for Gender
Confusion classified one of the Milli Vanillis as "not 100% female".
BTW, did you know that in the metric system, one Milli Vanilli is one thousandth of a Vanilli?
Fascinating...

Why?
Well, I don't just want to be the best One-Man Girlband in the world, I also want to be the most
successful One-Man Girlband in the world.
I have a herd of children to feed!

What's new?
According to the German Institute for Diminishing Attention Spans, young people these days are
barely able to follow a three-minute audio stream without writing a WhatsApp or watching a video
or three in between, let alone a full album.
So, since no one listens to my artistic output anyway, I thought that I can do whatever I want,
like, write longer songs.
Long as in "my God, will it ever end?"
I think this will look quite cool in my discography and annoy the labels, even though as an
independent artist I neither want nor need a label to be unsuccessful.

Dark?
Most of the songs are on the darker side of the emotional spectrum.
Or, as Chay put it, "music to jump off a cliff to".

Before you ask, no, I'm not a dark person (apart from my British sense of humour), I'm actually
quite funny and had a very happy childhood.
Okay, my favorite color is black, my humor is black, my hair is black (or has been most of my
life), the remnants of the gardening my wife forced me to do under my fingernails are black,
my car's black, I dress in black, my dog is black - coincidence?

The Songs?
You already know most of the songs, and I've added 2 of my old, dark songs as bonus tracks.
According to the German Research Center for Applied Paranormal Statistics, the bonus tracks
will double the number of albums sold.
Plus some covers of my own songs made without BIAB (though I always use BIAB in the conception
phase to test key, chords, melody, and basic arrangement).

What do I expect?
Doubling my Grammy count and closing my monthly listener gap on Spotify to Taylor Swift even further.
Right now I'm at 20 (give or take) listeners, so there's just 88,021,079 more to go.
Taylor, I'm coming!

Where?
  • Spotify: (preferably if you have an account there, because of this Taylor Swift thing)
  • YouTube: (because it's way more fun to jump off a cliff while watching a video!)
  • Amazon: (If you really want to help a starving artist, buy the album there (or even just
a single song for $0.99). I get about 250 times the payout that Spotify pays!)
  • Goldmania Bella Homepage: (With links to all major, minor, and diminished streaming platforms)

As always, comments and feedback (good and bad) on the album, this campaign, my embarrassing
pleas for attention and anything else you can think of, apart from US politics and Greenland, are very welcome.

Write something!

Hi B.D.!
Well done on the album launch - there’s a lot of work in there! I gave two tracks a spin on Spotify - hopefully I’ve given your monthly listeners count a nudge. From that sample, there’s good quality in the writing and production. Hoping it goes well for you.
Your write-up - very funny. Those German research institutes sure are productive!

Congratulations, B.D.! Your music is always amazing, am sure you'll catch that Taylor person in no time. Do you have any feel for how much BiaB content listeners can expect? Know you're using a lot of tools, all of them to great effect.

Cool, BD, I love the cover art! I know this was a lot of work, but hopefully it was a lot of fun, too. Tough competing with The Fate of Ophelia and all the dance vids it's spawned. They're all over my feeds. I like Shakespeare but I hate that song. I'm listening to your album now as I write - hoping for no interruptions and I can hear the whole thing. FOLLOW-UP: no interruptions, I listened to the whole thing. TBH, I was expecting mostly anthemic, high gain guitar stuff and was pleasantly surprised to hear quite a few contemplative pieces. My favorites were: Can't get to the other side, Wrong, and the two versions of Drowning in what remains. (If I had to choose one, I'd pick the deeply sad one). Great job, I'll come back to this again one day when the mood hits me.

Big congrats on your accomplishment, BD! I hope you reach that 88,021,079. It really only takes one influential person to share your music and change everything. Good luck!

Congrat's on the album, Goldmania B.D.! I enjoyed reading this long post - and not just because I was quoted! - however, I don't have any music playing device I can take down to the beach a few minutes walk away, plus there are no cliffs. I could download your album and transfer it to a cassette tape, then wearing black either just walk into the sea playing your music, or alternatively - and I like this idea better - I could wait until this place floods, which I expect within the next 3 years as it's right in the middle of a high probability flood zone.

Wasn't one Milli Vanilli single 0% Milli Vanilli?

I don't have time to listen to the whole album, right now, plus I can't comment on YT unless I'm logged-in, which I'm not at the moment, but I'll definitely listen to the rest next time I am. I just listened to "At Home" and the quality is 100%! Also, you're the only person I'm aware of on this forum who has always made SynthV vocals sound real.

Some favourite Waoist Adages:
#1: Play on the Way.
#13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you.
#58: Bring consciousness to it.
#63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made.
#92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.

To be honest, I don't usually think much about WHAT I use, just HOW I use it.
However, since I am often asked this question and am curious myself, I have compiled some information.
Just for you smile

General information:
  • Lyrics are all hand-made by yours truly and and proofread by Marty, as he is a native speaker (which I am not),
knows a lot about grammar and language in general, and is a GREAT guy to talk with.
  • Unless stated otherwise, all vocals are created using Synthesizer V, which, contrary to the
manufacturer's claims, does not use AI in the way as Suno or UDIO do.
It' still a lot of tedious work.
  • All songs started with a mockup created with BIAB. Most mockups made it into the final mix,
some were used to communicate to Suno which style, the arrangement in general, chords, and melodies should be used.
The style and chords are simple, but convincing Suno to use my own melodies is a tedious task.
However, I've found a few tricks that make my life easier.

Below you'll find some details about the individual songs, sorted by number.
The number of tracks includes vocal tracks, but no vocal doubles (or doubles in general).:
Code
Song-No. BIAB Me Suno
---------------------
     1: 3 11 5
     2: 3 7 8
     3: 7 13 -
     4: 9 12 -
     5: 5 18 -
     6: 7 5 7
     7: 2 2 6
     8: 11 6 -
     9: 9 5 -
    10: - 2 5
    11: 14 19 -
    12: 9 11 -
Remarks:
  • If I had known how much time this list would take, I wouldn't have started it.
  • I'm very surprised at how many instruments I still have to play myself.
Maybe I'm (a little bit) of a musician after all smile

The way to get Suno to play exactly your song from BiaB, export BiaB song as a wave, upload it to Suno, go to create page, open your song, on the left scroll down to advanced, pull the weirdness button to zero, the other two buttons set to 100, now ask Suno to create a cover of your song. If you have your female voice and her group saved as a persona, then add it before you create.
