Isn't there a video this year, as is usually the case, presenting the most important new features? That would be particularly interesting because of the completely new user interface and the AI functions.

My impression is that the release of the new version this year was somewhat rushed. In previous years, there was always at least a video with an overview of the update's features, followed immediately by an announcement email. Two days after the release, that's still not there.

Nope. Documentation is late, software is not. The software itself is one of the most stable compared to previous releases. If PDF file will make a significant difference in your music making, you should wait.
But...those who are brave enough to use it without that PDF file, I assure you, the main star of the show - UI is easy to understand and logical. And if on the way you encounter a question or two, I am certain someone here will help you ASAP.

I find it a bit rushed to release software without a help file.The new interface certainly looks very promising, and I'm really curious to see how it works.

I am also under the impression of a rushed start. No Video as usuall and no detailed Information about new features (if there are any) for the DAW PlugIn. From a sales and marketing perspective that is not very professional. And Yes, a manual should be provided from the Start, as even the early adopters among the longstanding Veterans are confronted with something completely new even for them.

Even though I risk being attacked for saying this: In recent years, or even the last decade, I had the impression that Band-in-a-Box updates were meticulously prepared and the process was well-defined and professionally handled. This year is completely different. There's no manual, no video about the new features and the (finally) new interface, and no email notifications for long-time, loyal customers. It doesn't help me that the insiders and veterans assure me everything is just fine; I'm not buying a pig in a poke. This chaos is incomprehensible and unnecessary to me.

We have very different take on what "chaos" is. Cost of a core program update is $49 - price of family lunch in a fast food chain, or average single FX plugin, if you prefer that analogy. To my understanding, it comes with 30 day money back. It has a help file, and especially if you used program in the past, this should be a non issue. What "pig" are you talking about?

I'm not attacking. I suspect that there was more finalising work on the software than expected, so the other things were delayed. That's unfortunate and undoubtedly related to PGM getting their release out in time for Christmas, or whatever other seasonal festivity one has. I'd rather have the videos and manual a little later if it means the software is well tested and pretty solid. I'd also, personally, rather have the releases not at Christmas, but maybe that's just me.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
