1. Load any song, any style press play.
2. Click on STY > Disable style
Expected behavior: The style tracks are disabled.
Actual behaviour: only the drums track is disabled.
Anyone can confirm?
Latest BIAB version, latest build.

Cerio, just curious... Why would you want to disable a style? I am only guessing, what makes style a "style" is a melodist and/or soloist tracks (MGU). My thinking is, it will disable those if they are present, leaving you with just a combination of tracks. I might be completely wrong about this

Cerio, just curious... Why would you want to disable a style? I am only guessing, what makes style a "style" is a melodist and/or soloist tracks (MGU). My thinking is, it will disable those if they are present, leaving you with just a combination of tracks. I might be completely wrong about this It might be useful when using the ACW, for example. I'm just testing the new features and came across this.

Actually, digging into this, it appears not to be a 2026 issue. I tested in 2025 and it did the same thing.
... the issue would happen if you generate tracks, and then disable the style. The old tracks are still there. To solve that, Save the file with the style disabled and reload it. That fixes it. If the disable style is done before you generate a style, the issue doesn’t occur. This has been the case for many years, but we will look into it.

I think you guys have this wrong..... I use "Disable Styles" all the time. I posted a video yesterday of Carol Of the Bells. You can see in the video that xStyles are disabled. Works exactly as needed. I opened that song file again now and it works perfect to disable the style when it is playing. You need to disable styles when ever you are working with midi or audio (as from the new AI notation) on a utility track since it will not be synched with the legacy tracks. So the feature works as it should in 2026.
Well, up until last nights version change. Now even though the old files work, I tried to make a new one and I saw the reported issue.

Catherine OK, that could be legit? I would generally alway disable the style BEFORE hitting play. So I would not see this problem. Too smart for my own good. So lets see what a fix does.

Catherine Hi Catherine. Thanks for this insight. That's very useful information. I noticed this in BIAB 2024, too, if I recall correctly, certainly in 2025. The "Style Enabled" option also works slightly differently for MIDI-only styles and styles containing Realtracks. --Noel
