Mario,
Dan simply quoted what Reaper (DAW) mentioned on their closed page. And yes, THEY HAVE THE STATEMENT IN CAPITAL LETTERS as well.

Mario,
I hear you man. But...what does what you say really mean? No more protest songs? Music is full of political statements. Reaper is widely used here. We live in a highly politically devided country. Just the way it is. It will always show up here from time to time. Things change, the world changes, and the forum will change with time...it all ready has. We have all known Dan for a long time and he has never been one to cause trouble, and I am sure that is his current position.

Cheers,

Billy

Billy,
What I really mean is lets keep politics out of our conversations here in the forum. All they do is start wars. Protest songs are fine in the showcase forum. All Dan had to say is Reaper will be down on Saturday. He should have left out the ice part as some here are for ice, some against, and many do not live in America.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Mario,
#1 These are not Dan's "words" - but exact statement by Reaper / reason of being closed today. The only thing on their main page.

We can talk about origins of Blues, Rock, Punk, Reggae, Gospel, Alternative, Grunge, Underground... but it will be nearly impossible here, even in off topic as these are directly or indirectly are political.

In parallel, we can discuss what happens to music & talented musicians (if we where to talk about music) under dictatorship. From historical or modern world perspective. Quite an interesting music related subject...

FWIW, I don't come here to read the ideological posts of 3rd party software vendors, or anyone else for that matter. Even if reproduced verbatim.

Just...think about it.

DC Ron,
What are you here for? BIAB? We can absolutely discuss that. Identifying / solving issues, workflow, tricks, ideas, usage? I am up for it.
There is a recent post by a very dedicated member that talks about deeper issues within BIAB that need to be solved ASAP. Please join the discussion:

I have enormous respect for the OP, as BIAB would be much "less" without him.

Misha, yes, I'm here for BiaB. You may click on my profile and select Forum Posts to see what I'm interested in. I absolutely agree with you on the OP, and messaged him privately prior to posting on this topic.

Ron,
I don't have ambitions nor time to "spy" on people smile
Glad you will join that important discussion! I am still formulating my answer as a lot of points he made are very important to basically most if not all BIAB users.

Regarding this thread. Personally I don't mind. It relates to a stance of quite popular music making software. If I got my numbers right from one of the threads, about 20-25% of BIABiers use it on regular basis.

About ideology.... Everything alive is about ideology.

Well, I didn't ask "DC Ron, what are you here for...", you did. If you really wanted an answer to that question, two mouse clicks would have done the trick instead of telling me off like I'm not involved in these forums when I am. Whatever. You choose what you have time for. Out here...

"I don't come here..."
Your words. You didn't mention what you here for, so it was natural for me to ask. I assumed BIAB, so I offered likely one of the most important current discussions on the subject. Re-read what I've said from another, less aggressive angle.

"You choose what you have time for. Out here"
I care about BIAB and it's future. I dedicate at least 1-3 hours a week on testing and reporting issues. When required much more.
