Vocals - Suno
Harmonica - Me. This is a Chicago blues, which calls for amplified harp. But my amp simulator isn't working. So while I like what I played, the tone is lousy. I've tried for months to rectify the problem, to no avail.

Lyrics:

Had some blues in my pocket, had some more up my sleeve
Had some blues in my wallet, and in my hat I believe,
Now all that mess is behind me, I've finally paid all my dues,
Cuz since I met you honey, everything's been sunny,
And I ain't got no use for these blues

I don't know why you like me, I don't know why you stay,
I ain't a rich man baby, but I'm not the type to stray,
And I ain't a guy who will spend all our money on gambling, weed and booze,
Cuz since I met you honey, everything's been sunny,
And I ain't got no use for these blues

I still recall what the blues is like, remember it all too well,
Walking ragged through the worst part of town, on my way to hell,
You cleaned up my act, that's a natural fact, so lemme shout out the good news (oh, yeah!)
Since I met you honey, everything's been sunny,
And I ain't got no use for these blues

You did a good job on those lyrics.
You chose the right voice and arrangement too, for this song.
Good work.

Rob,

Great blues song. I love the arrangement and excellent mix. Your harmonica sounds really nice to me.

Agree with Vic, that's a good voice you've selected for this tune.

The voice and harmonica are particularly well suited to the song style, giving it a very authentic feel and excellent results.

Ah knew right away you weren't talking about The Blues. Man, you sure DO have some use for these blues. Whatr a great tune. Hey, not all Chicago Blues is played in Chicago. Your harp sounds great. Fun changes and a good mix make this a jump-along song. Excellent choice of vocalist too.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi, Rob! You're a cool cat on this one because you sure know your Chicago blues! A terrific easy to follow melody and lots of rhythm. I liked it start to finish!

Hey Tunemonger,

Great tune man! Love the production.

As for the Suno voice, hmmmmmm.

I think I have heard YOU singer better than that. But, your call!

Happy Easter.

Nice job, Rob! Nicely written and arranged. Very authentic to the genre without sounding badly cliched. LOVE your harp work, and the acoustic sound is fine to my ears. (Am sure most guitar amp plugins could approximate a mic'd harp sound, not that you need it.)

The vocals are VERY serviceable and have a nice raspy character. They serve the song well. But I've especially enjoyed your recent vocals, so they/you are missed.

Super band, mix and master.

Now you just need to send the master down to the factory so we can get those records pressed.

smile

Sounds good, Bob! Hard to come up with an original blues lyric without it sounding cliched, but you pulled it off. Harp sounds good to me, nice playing. I actually have no problem with the vocal, fit the song well.

Good one, enjoyed!

Pretty cool and moody blues.
Good band, good singer, and I don't think the harmonica is a problem, in the context of the song it works actually pretty well.
But I'm no expert on Chicago blues smile

Cool.
The harmonica works but I get what you mean and bit of old amp break would add some spice.

Cheers

That is a cool take on a blues write!

Like the SUNO vocal - it has grit.
Your harp sounds great to us.
Nice BiaB session players and you wrapped it in a good mix.

Enjoyed it!

Thanks, Bob. So glad you and other folks here like the vocal on this one. Well, the Suno haters don't like it. But ya can't please em all.

Positive blues that made me feel anti-blues smile Upbeat message with clever lyrics and the BIAB shuffle band make the world sunny again. Excellent harmonica playing, fits perfectly with the rest of the band. And the Suno vocalist has enough raspiness to sound natural and bluesy. Great songwriting!
