PowerSometimes you know exactly what you want to play and as you are auditioning styles in BiaB you find one that takes you into a different direction. I wanted a heavy four on the floor beat with a lot of synths but I changed my mind after hearing this style. After I got the BiaB tracks into my DAW I said why not add synths. So I converted some of those BiaB audio tracks into MIDI and used them for some synths. BiaB style - Alternate Pop Rock Tempo - 130 BPM I used the RD and all of the RTs in this song. I also used the MIDI version of the Piano, guitar, and utility tracks. Piano - Syntronic 2 - Ageless - Shizuoka Pad Guitar - Synthmaster 3 - Synth Pad - ARP Ambient Pad Utility - Synthmaster 3 - Synth Misc - Air Black - Magic KS Me via my keyboard controller: 1st lead - Syntronic 2 - Violinic Synth Lead 2nd lead - Kontakt - VeeVum Human - Stack Natural - EEHS 3- Synthmaster 3 - Synth Lead - Big Dist As always all comments are welcome.

Oh wow MarioD - very interesting sounds! I like what you did.
Also, love the synth that sounds human, that is really cool. Very Middle Eastern sounding. Love it!

Very cool, Mario. Love the thrumming hive beneath all the melodic colors. Super composition and playing. Nice selection of synth patches, too.
BiaB styles have bent my original intent SO many times I can't count. And it always turned out BETTER. So very relatable.

Hi Mario! Is that Arabian rock, or perhaps 'Morocc'n roll'? In any ways, it sounded really good - fantastic how you came up with that as part of the song's journey. 130BPM - double the speed of your usual offerings! I think it's a particular scale that creates this feel? Is it Phrygian? I don't know. Some with better music theory knowledge than I will know. Really loved this one! Andrew

To be totally honest here . . . Not my style or genre and with all the synth talk I really expected not to care for it . . . I've listened to it three times now while doing some paperwork at my desk. I found this very enjoyable and have added it to my (already bizarre) playlist. That was very well done and the synth leads were very well done. Thanks for expanding my musical tastes a bit!

Mario, you have a wonderful way of working with different styles and genres. This one is like a journey over the sands of a desert. The vocals really compliment the style, instruments are very well chosen. It's a very nice listen. John

A whole different direction for you. 130 bpm, you haven't done that in a long time. Usually it's 60. Sounded great, you're fearless when it comes to genre delving.

Hi Mario,
One Thousand and One Nights? You? Although, I can certainly imagine you, riding a camel through the desert with a mini-piano while composing this song. I have ridden camels myself a few times in various deserts, but I never managed to compose a song about it. But look at you. Not even sitting on that camel, and yet making an Arabic-sounding song!
But is it really Arabic, or Iranian...? (lame joke) You are very creative! This track proves that once again. How did you come up with this?
I’ve tried a few of these Arabic loops in BiaB, but so far I haven't managed to turn them into a whole song. But what you’ve done is very beautiful. I admit, I don't fall in love with these sounds, but some exotic sounds are really nice to incorporate into a track. Just like the percussion... someday...
Mario, you’ve done a really good job with this again. Hats off!
Hans

Also, love the synth that sounds human, that is really cool. Very Middle Eastern sounding. Love it! Thanx so much. I picked up that VeeVum Human software synth on sale for $10 USD. I bought it on a whim. It does have some very good sounds.

"BiaB styles have bent my original intent SO many times I can't count.", I hear you loud and clear! Even though it can be frustrating at times it is a great program. I don't think I would be playing today if I didn't have BiaB.

Playing in wedding bands for many years have exposed me to many different genres of music, more like a jack of all trades but a master of none. I also like to push BiaB boundaries.

So cool, Mario. I like the Eastern sound, especially in the "vocal." Excellent use of the unusual scale. Very engaging sounds. I also like how you took advantage of the MIDI conversion feature. Well done on many levels.

Love Andrew's comment: "Is that Arabian rock, or perhaps 'Morocc'n roll'?" And BD's: "Hypnotic Arabic." Hard to add to those! One word comes to mind almost immediately. ENGAGING. From the git go to through the last notes. Your one man band performances never cease to amaze us. Excellent! J&B
