How to delete information from a VSTi that is no longer in use?. The .SEQ file stores the information from the VSTi GrandPiano and locks the PT every time I try to use the file even though I no longer use the VSTi, just common MIDI out. Open the .SEQ file in Notepad and look for VSTi information there.

So you are saying that once you just load the SEQ, that the program freezes? Even before you play the file?
Or can you open the FX window on the affected track click on "none" in the selected VSTi line on the plugin list. And then go to the "Remove Plugin" button and erase the entry.
If this doesn't work, and it sounds like it doesn't, then I'd probably close the file and use "Search" to find the VSTi in question and change it's name by adding "X" to it. Then reopen the file and see if runs without the VSTi. If it does, then remove the VSTi and resave.

There is also a dxipluginlist.ini file to edit (I think - name may be a little off)

PT crash when I close the file or do I have any change in audio, closing the program, I try to record music midi etc. Even cleaning the VSTi and changing to common MIDI Out port or MIDI Mapper, in the .SEQ file he continues keeping information because if I open the file it shows the loading screen of the VSTi. PT does not support VSTi over 200 Mb.
I do not want to uninstall VSTi every time I open my .SEQ file. And PT is crashing each time I close the program after play with a large VSTi.

The two files which can be edited via NotePad are:
For VST Instruments.......VSTiPluginList
For VST Effects..............VSTPluginList.
If the data line for your Piano is deleted from the appropriate file above then RealBand should not be able to locate the VSTi .dll and therefore should not able to load the VSTi program. The information saved by PTW relates to the VSTi variable settings only - not the program itself, although, for some VSTis data is not saved at all. I don't know what is causing this problem, but if you remove all reference to the VSTi and the problem persists then something else is causing it.

Where did you get this from? I have a 380mb Studio Grand piano sample in my Emulator X program and I will also use multiple tracks of large samples in Sample Tank and they all play fine in PT but it takes a long time to load and that may be your problem. PT does not show you a progress bar when you open a SEQ that has a lot of midi instruments. If all someone is using for midi is the Roland VSC, that loads instantly because the samples are so small but any of the big name samplers have much bigger samples and those take some time. I have some songs with over 25 tracks of both midi and audio using several different synths and it can take a few minutes to load one of those. I try to render most of those midi tracks to audio as I'm working because of the load times but I will keep a copy of the original raw file in case I want to go back to the beginning for something. If you give up before it finishes loading and try to either close the program or go to another song, it will freeze and crash. Just wait until it loads everything even if it takes longer than you think it should. As much as I like the program, this is one of the clunkier things I don't like about it. I needs a progress bar when you first open a song and it needs a way to simply stop the loading if you realize you don't want that song.
It you already know this then I don't have an answer for you except to ask you to tell us your exact system setup, there may be something in the configuration settings.

Using Task Manager to close FP32,exe will often unlock the hangup. If I do get it to lock up somehow that background program is sometimes what is hung. Its an app PGMusic programs use for handling windows files (I think) it seems to become active when opening or converting files. Just something I noticed a while back in beta testing (when lockups are a little more common).  Another thing to try for OP is to open a different file, go to the VSTi/FX area and click Options, then use the 'exclude' list to exclude the plugin from being available to PT (or RB etc)
