It appears that Real Band does not like the M-Audio ASIO driver for Win 7 SP 1. It says the sample rate does not work...it then says that a "MAC" driver does not work on Windows ??? Weird !! Anyone else using the Fast Track w/ ASIO drivers in Win 7 on a laptop ? If so, please HELP ?!

Are you using:

Installer: 6.0.6 - Driver: 5.10.0.5133

Oh and by the way, welcome to the forum

Make sure the samplerate in the M-Audio software matches the samplerate in RB. That's what that message implies to me. Can't have RB running at 16/44 and M-Audio running 24/48 (for example).

Thanks guys !

Yes, using the correct driver as noted jazzmandan.

Changed the recording sample rate to match RB's rate (16/44) and now all is fine ! Thanks again guys.

Well, now another snag..

I have the M-Audio ASIO driver installed, sample rates match RB, I can monitor the "live" (lap steel) track while in record mode...but nothing get's actually recorded ? No wave file is produced...just blank ??

I think the correct term 'it's rharv's fault'.

And two points is a safety! That was at least worth a field goal.
Yeah, I'm getting geared up for football tonight.

Options-Preferences-Audio tab
click drivers button
select the correct M-Audio input driver, then click 'move selected device to top'.

Leave output as it is if that part is working right

Yes, as jazzmandan's pic pointed out, make sure the M-Audio input is the *only input selected* for the input side. That way it is the default. Otherwise you get into having to select ports for tracks, etc.

Thanks again you guys. You're both a great help. Well, I 'think' I've got things set right so I'll just not touch it ever again !! ;-) - I had to tweak some settings in the playback and recording devices as to exclusive use / whether to listen through it etc. and now ASIO M-Audio drivers are playing nice with RB and Win7... I can record, punch in etc. just fine.

Thanks again... (I may be back though)
