I enjoy watching the great how to videos for BIAB and RB among others.
How about a "how to video" on making a how to video.

What programs and procedures are used for optimal upload and viewing?
I'm sure many of us out here would find it valuable.

Thanks,
Carkins

camtasia offers a demo that, iirc, is not crippled but time-limited. if you want a fabulous alternative program totally free then take a squint at "Lightworks," it's phenomenal. i recently made a video complete with soundtrack (biab, of course) from 368 digital photos. i did 40 biab tunes which was culled down to 12 of the bride's choice. i dare say, it would have cost her well over $1,000.00 to have a studio do it, sans original soundtrack. i did it as her wedding gift. she's my speech therapist whom i love. it was 47 minutes long.

don't underestimate the power of microsoft movie maker, it's part of windows or it's a free d/l from m$. it's very easy to learn while the others have a steeper learning curve.

a great source of help and free software is: http://www.videohelp.com/ be sure to check them out.

do you want to make screen capture video that shows what's on your screen and mouse moves, menu dropdowns much lik ethe PGMNusic videos here?

Or are you wanting to put a series of still graphics into an automated slide show?

Or do you want to capture video from a web cam or digital recorder?

I think all 3 of the free products I posted above will do all of those things. Not sure if Windows Movie Maker can do screen captures or not (don't think so, but I could be wrong)

as far as "how to" the help files that come with the video program should cover all that.

WOW! Great job!
Lot's to look at and try out.

The Lightworks program looks really professional and the price is perfect for those of us on tight budgets..FREE!
Going to explore the others as well.

Would like to create some background videos for my music and perhaps some painting and computer illustration videos for my art.

This forum is terrific on so many levels!
Thanks,
Carkins

These folks make six different video based free softwares, but the one we want is "Freez Screen Video Capture" a bit basic, but I have used it in the past and will capture everything on screen in video, but needs a mic for sound.

I use Camtasia and am very happy with it. I tried out Lightworks a month or so back for a few weeks and just could not get me head wrapped around it...it looks impressive, but I just don't "get it"....
