Hmmm... you don't need to join Soundcloud to listen...any others having problems ? Have emailed a couple friends who have played it fine ??

Tried it on a different system, played fine .. but it was a laptop (so using headphones).
Sounded good for FWIW though. Maybe a touch too much reverb on drums, that was the first thing I noticed.. or predelay on the reverb. Take that with grain of salt.
Only had HD 203's (Sony) with me to listen with.

Thanks rharv. Yeah, I am a reverb slut I admit, but I really tried hard to resrain myself on this one. Sounds right to me, but I may still need to check the verb. Thanks.

Sounds pretty decent on my ath-m50 phones (ha, ha). Seems to be a big volume or 'presence' difference between the acoustic guitar in the far right speaker and the electric in the far left speaker. If that is intentional, then fine -- if not take a look at that. It is hard to tell without the melody instrument in there, though.

Mitch, did you update the file on soundcloud? There's still too much reverb (maybe not only in the drums, but in other tracks too) to my ears (just my humble opinion, of course  ) Btw, it's a great job and a very tasteful arrangment. Could you please tell us about the process?

Now, new and improved ! 20% less wet  Thanks Cerio. BIAB for basic arrangement and starting point of Real Track performances, then off to Real Band for tweaking of performance sections and addition of midi tracks (Oboe, Bassoon, Cellos, Violins, Cymbal swells and other 'chaos section' orchestra noises), all rendered with Garritan products. Then add the lap steel track, eq, and mix to stereo file.

Maybe take a look on 2'29'': I find the sax phrasing a little bit strange on that specific point. Other than that, the song sounds very natural, like a real band to me. In fact, I thought it was actually played by a real band. Great!
