Is this a possibility biab could have this flexibility in the future? I would like to use standard guitar strumming notation. I do not mean notes on a staff but strumming with rests etc. This would mean that you would use a style only to select a music style and you would then have to tell the program how to play that chord or chords.
I am always trying new strum patterns and it would be a no brainer to be able to test out my creations that I can imagine.

To do something close to that, you would have to use the stylemaker. BIAB plays music based on styles, so you're going to have to get familiar with the stylemaker to get your strumming rhythms. Stylemaker allows you to specify "guitar macro" notes to achieve different strumming results. Look in the PDF user's manual on page 412 at the section "Guitar Styles with the Stylemaker" for more information on accomplishing this. It will take a little work, but I figure you can accomplish what you want this way. This has been part of BIAB for many, many versions.

It might be easier overall to use the Melody or Soloist track with something like Spicy Guitar, which lets you basically program strums, legatos, etc.
