hello I just upgraded from 2010 to 2012.5 so I use the software again ! here is a little tune made with melodist 9pop16 (style:DIREFAST.STY) (chords and melody by Biab, little chord edition) exported and edited in Sonar 8.5 sounds are ketron sd2 except rythm guitar(played) drums(session drummer3) strings(yamaha qy70  ) November Possibility

I love the melodist feature, mostly for the chord progressions. It has really helped me expand my knowledge of what makes a good song. Thanks for Sharing Wilko!

The melodist is one of those pearls hidden in a sea of other features. The tipoff that a song was written by a hobbyist songwriter is the lack of a real melody.
Go to SongRamp.com and listen to a bunch of songs, and it becomes evident pretty quickly that many of them are just singing notes that follow the chord changes. Not that doing so is bad, but it isn't nearly as interesting or as memorable as a song with a true melody.
Cool song Wilko! And thanks for the reminder about how valuable the melodist can be for song writers !
