When I load BIAB, I like having a 3rd party VST compressor on the "Combo" (Master). So the first thing I do when I load BIAB is go to the "VST/DX Synths/Plugins" screen, click "Combo", click "Load Group" and select a TGS that I have set up that has this preset.
If I exit the BIAB session and next day come back in, I notice that the "Combo" screen is reset to not have anything configured, so I just repeat the above steps to get it back to my default preference.
I was noticing that there is a file saved on the file system for the "Default Synth" screen, that auto-reloads at startup anything the user has set up for that screen.
I was wondering if there is a way to config BIAB so the "Combo" screen acts this way as well. In other words, a way to have a TGS (or whatever) file on the file system that BIAB may be able to read at startup to auto-reload VST's we'd like. Note that I'm not wanting the "DX" plugins that ship with BIAB, but specifically '3rd party' VST FX that I own.
Not a biggie if we can't do this, but I thought I'd ask...

Hi Trevor,
I reviewed your item #33 and no, that isn't quite the scenario I was inquiring about but I think it answers my question.
I never thought about the fact that the 'song' settings is where the Combo/Master info would be captured. I assumed that the Combo/Master worked like the Default Synth (i.e. that it stayed the same regardless of loading a new song).
I guess I 'retract' my inquiry! From tinkering with it, I think BIAB must be designed to always restore whatever was saved in the song for the Combo/Master (that is what I'm seeing on my config). If that was the intent of the designers, then I don't see a way to be able to get what I want. No biggie...
I don't know how to advise on your problem #33. I'm not seeing that with my config (yet!). Do you have a specific VST that is causing you trouble or are you seeing that problem regardless of which VST you use?
