Is there a Macro adjustment for tuning? I'm sure BIAB is set at 440.0 but I swear mine is playing at 441.0 or higher. I am on BIAB 2010.5. I can dial my Yamaha Motif synths to 440.1, 440.2, etc - but can I do the same with BIAB so it matches my outboard gear? I don't know how the program got "off" but it did.

Kevin, Are these MIDI tracks you are referring to? If they are RealTracks, then what are your Audio Settings set to? This could be related to your Sound Card sample rate? This may be related to 44.1KHz vs 48KHz sampling rates?

I agree the sample rate causes a problem, but it's about three half steps, not a fraction of a step.
Do you know about Options, GM Settings, Master Tuning? You can adjust by cents or click to restore A=440.
And if you want to have some obscure fun, look up in Google about A=432.

Actually, I am on a Mac - ha! I posted to the wrong Forum about this - - - however, I looked for an "Options" menu/folder/file item and there is nothing on the Mac version I can see. Where is it to be found from the Menu bar on a PC. And yes, I am talking about an audio file (Real Tracks) not midi as queried above.

OK, I can't help with the Mac version. I suggest you ask PG Music Support where that command is. Or, if it doesn't exist, perhaps there is a system command for it in the Mac OS.

BIAB for Mac has no control of microtuning for MIDI. It just sends note numbers like A or Bb.
So it's the MIDI synth that you're using that would be playing things sharp. You mention that you use synths and you can micro tune them. an obvious cause would be that you have inadvertently micro tuned one of these synths away from A 440.
First step, please tell us what MIDI synth you are using as the output device for Band-in-a-Box.
Have Fun! Peter Gannon PG Music Inc.

Actually, I am on a Mac - ha! ... And yes, I am talking about an audio file (Real Tracks) not midi as queried above. OK, we now know you are using real tracks. How are you judging that they are playing sharp? What technique? A tuner etc? And are they all playing sharp? Thinking outside the square, could the instrument you are comparing with be tuned slightly flat?

Using the tuner in GarageBand. Using Peterson Strobsoft on iPad. I should set my Yamaha Motif XS to a pure 444.0 and see if BIAB is in compliance with it - but I did two tracks with the XS and still had the problem.
