Einen wunderschönen sonnigen guten Morgen allerseits, ich möchte als nächstes - nachdem ich jetzt die Melodie fertig habe - den Bass eingeben. Bass für zwei Takte eingeben und den Rest macht dann BiaB automatisch habe ich soweit verstanden, aber kann mir jemand mal genau, möglichst mit einfachen Worten, erklären was bitte relative Gewichtung bedeutet??? Mir wurde von einem Bekannten gesagt bei 5 könnte ich nicht viel falsch machen, aber das reicht mir nicht! Ich würde es auch schon gerne verstehen. Danke!

Üblicherweise wird der Bass von BiaB automatisch zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Basslinien wie auch die übrigen Begleitstimmen werden vom sogenannten Style zur Verfügung gestellt - einfach einen Style auswählen und auf 'Play' drücken.
Der Begriff 'relative Gewichtung' taucht hauptsächlich im Zusammenhang mit dem StyleMaker auf. Der StyleMaker wird verwendet, um eigene Styles zu erzeugen - das ist eine Aufgabe, der sich in der Regel eher fortgeschrittene Nutzer von BiaB widmen. In diesem Zusammenhang bedeuten die Zahlen in den Feldern des Stylemakers ein Maß für die Häufigkeit, mit der ein bestimmtes 'Pattern' vom Style geliefert wird. Ein Pattern mit einer 1 wird relativ selten erzeugt, ein Pattern mit 5 hat eine mittlere Häufigkeit, eine 8 erzeugt eine relativ hohe Häufigkeit, die Zahl 9 bewirkt, dass das 'Pattern' immer abgespielt wird unter den gegebenen Randbedingungen wie Taktart, eventuell vorhandener 'Masken' etc.
Zum Durchkomponieren einer Basslinie eignet sich eher ein Sequenzer wie etwa RealBand oder PowerTracks. Alternativ kann etwa die Solospur bei BiaB verwendet werden, eine Instrumentalstimme exakt einzugeben.
Bei BiaB sind die Melodie- und Solospur die beiden einzigen Spuren, die zum Editieren geeignet sind. Alle anderen Spuren werden bei jedem Druck auf 'Play' automatisch neu generiert.

Hey, zunächst Danke für die ausführliche Info. Mit der Gewichtung, das habe ich jetzt verstanden, aber ich kann mit BiaB dann ein Lied niemals so genau hinbekommen, wie ich es heraushöre? Also den Bass, das Schlagzeug, die Gitarre, das Tambourine, Hand Clap dort eingeben, so wie ich es auch höre? In der Vergangenheit hatte ich mir Midi's bei Geerdes gekauft und weil ich damit nicht so zufrieden war, diese dann mit BiaB, so gut ich es konnte, geändert. Weil ich aber immer noch nicht zufrieden damit bin hatte ich mir überlegt doch einfach ALLES selbst mit BiaB zu machen. Zumal doch in BiaB auch "neuen Style erstellen" vorgegeben ist. Ich muss dann dafür aber wieder ein anderes Programm haben?? Ich habe noch "MIDI CONNECTION", aber ich finde es in der Handhabung ziemlich umständlich.

BiaB ist zunächst einmal ein Begleit- und Arrangierprogramm. Die Grundlage für BiaB sind Lead Sheets. Zum Jammen und Improvisieren ist eine exakte Notentreue eines Arrangements nicht erforderlich, und in der Tat variiert BiaB beim Druck auf 'Play' wie jeder Jazz Musiker ein Arrangement etwas entsprechend der Gewichtungen im jeweiligen Style.
Zur Abbildung bestehender Song Arrangements Note für Note eignen sich ausschließlich Sequenzer. Die Sequenzer Funktionalität von BiaB ist sehr beschränkt, weil einfach die Zielsetzung des Programms anders ist.
PG Music bietet jedoch einen Sequenzer an, der sehr gut mit BiaB kommuniziert. RealBand verfügt über viele (nicht alle) Eigenschaften des Programms BiaB und unterstützt explizit, wie jeder Sequenzer, das genaue Arrangieren auf Notenbasis. In der BiaB Version 2009 ist Realband enthalten. Also -> RealBand einfach aufrufen und einmal ausprobieren.
Arrangements können so in der Tat Note für Note entweder eingespielt, oder mit der Maustaste eingegeben werden. Auch die Midis von Geerdes können mit einem Sequenzer wesentlich leichter bearbeitet werden als mit BiaB.
Einzige und ggf. wichtige Einschränkung von RealBand: Es werden lediglich Taktarten 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 im Notationsmodus unterstützt. Für komplexere Notationen sind teurere Sequenzer erforderlich, wie etwa Sonar oder Cubase.

Hallo, danke für die Info. Leider hilft mir das nicht viel weiter, weil ich für Melodien auch 1/8 und manchmal 1/16 Noten verwende. Also - wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe - kommt Realband nicht in Betracht. Zu Cubase habe ich Meinungen im Internet gefunden, aber leider keine Testversion. Bevor ich mir ein Programm in der Preislage kaufe, möchte ich erst wissen, ob es auch etwas für mich ist. Ich muss ja auch damit zurecht kommen. Kennst 'te vielleicht einen Link für eine Testversion??  Gr. Music-Girl

Hallo,
außer Cubase gibt es auch einige relativ günstige und einfache Sequenzer und auch einiges an Freeware. Hierzu könnte eine Comun-Site wie homerecording.de hilfreich sein.

Die Taktart bezieht sich auf 3/4, 4/4 Takte etc.. In einem 4/4 Takt etwa können durchaus auch 8-tel, 16-tel Noten etc. eingegeben werden. RealBand unterstützt eine Notenauflösung bis zu 64-tel Noten. Hier ist also ausreichend Felxibilität, um Standard Songs abzubilden. Problematisch wird es lediglich bei kompexeren Taktarten, wie z.B. 5/4 Takten. Es lassen sich zurzeit auch keine Wechsel der Taktarten in Realband einfügen, also etwa 4 Takte 4/4 Takt, weitere 4 Takte 3/4 Takt etc.
Hierfür sind komplexere Sequenzer erforderlich. Standard Songs handhabt RealBand jedoch exzellent.
Cubase LE liegt als OEM add-on vielen Produkten wie etwa Soundkarten bei und ist auch günstig im Web erhältlich (ca. $40). Cubase gibt es auf vielen Shareware Seiten und lässt sich sicher auch als Demo ausprobieren. Da RealBand jedoch bereits BiaB 2009 beiliegt, probier' das Programm doch erst einmal aus - wie gesagt: 8-tel, 16-tel, 32-tel, 64-tel Noten sind kein Problem bei üblichen Taktarten.

Vielen Dank für die Infos. Ich werde dann erstmal mit BiaB - Realband weitermachen und es damit versuchen. Da ich meistens Stücke im 4/4 Takt schreibe, sollte es dann wohl doch reichen. Wenn nicht, habe ich jetzt wohl ausreichend Möglichkeiten gezielt im Internet zu suchen durch eure Infos. Danke
