Welcome, Alison. Give your post some time to gain traction. If you were set up to Skype, it would increase your potential target.
And did you know, the company headquarters is in Victoria? Who knows, maybe someone there will respond.
In the meantime, beginners often have pretty good results posting their questions here. We are fellow users, just with more experience.

Skype is a great idea. !
I have looked at lots of videos and am working my way through the user manual.
But I thought I could expedite the process by having a teacher for a few sessions.

Until then, dive in, play with it, save often (use different file names), etc. You won't break anything, and you'll probably figure out how things work pretty quickly.
