Anybody else seeing issues with the newest BIAB update version 725?
This happens only when I play through a complete song and try to load another. After I play through the first song, the application freezes and I cannot load another song and get the following error message: Access violation at address 00007FFE3F79601F in module wmp.dll.
Have tried "return to factory settings" and tried to shut computer down and restart....no change BIAB still locks up and cannot make any changes or load another song. Requires that BIAB be manually shutdown via Windows Application Manager.
Sending email to PG to see if they can duplicate. Anybody else seeing this?

With 725 I have seen an A/V related to WMP.dll on the first play of a song, but so far I couldn't reproduce the issue.
Hopefully someone else will also be able to track this down.

Jeff, don't know if it's helpful but WMP is the Windows Media Player.

Yea, I saw that too Jim. Don't know why that .dll would be effecting BIAB. Hopefully PG will chime in.

If you restart Band-in-a-Box, does the same thing happen? With any song you load and play, or are you doing something prior to playing the song?

Hi Andrew. No not doing anything other than opening BIAB and opening a song. It can happen on any song that I have previously saved and I have over 650 BIAB songs.
This never happens when I open the first song but if I open a second song, and make no changes to the first song, BIAB freezes. It locks up, no buttons work, song cannot be played...the whole app is frozen. The only way I can get out of BIAB is to go to the Windows Task Manager and manually close BIAB. Then the computer functions as normal.
By the way, if you could, check in with Dyrek, he is also looking into this via email.

OK, think I have this figured out.
When I upgraded to v725 it changed the audio driver from ASIO to WAS. I use a multi-client ASIO driver so I can run multiple ASIO programs at the same time. I believe what happened is that v725 set up BIAB to use the WAS audio driver while the rest of my system continued using the multi-client ASIO driver.
Anyhow, all is well now and everything is back to normal using the ASIO drivers across the system.

Actually, I didn't figure this out! Although v725 did result in some changes to my system's audio drivers, the problems I was having, as noted above, continued. What did work was rolling back from v725 to the previous BIAB version.
The mystery continues. Sorry cannot provide more insight to others who may experience this strange problem.
