I use multiple hard synths. Each synth has its patch map loaded into the RB patches.ini file for conversion to patches.bin file so I can select each synth's patches in the tracks when using RB.
Recently, I added a Montage synth and added it's patchmap to RB's patches.ini file. However, when I restart the program I'm getting an error that says the patches.ini file exceeds 2000 lines and it will not convert it to the patches.bin file that RB uses.
Anyone know a way around this?
Can RB have multiple patch.ini and the associated patches.bin files?

How long is your Patches.INI file? (a decent text editor will show you how many lines it actually is)
FWIW my Patches.INI is 3500+ lines and seems fine.
Did you mistype the number, or?
I don't think it's possible to have multiple files though.
Can you show the error message?
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Interesting question Rharv.
I've deleted all the lines of code in the .INI file for synths I do not have or need. My Yamaha Motif Rack XS has 1024 patches, my Roland Fantom XR also has 1024 patches. The Montage has almost 3000 presets. So, theoretically, the .INI file could be over 5000 lines!
Strangely, when I look at the .INI file RB put together for the combined 3 synths, it has 14,381 lines! I think that it is also pulling in the 10,000 some arpeggio types the Montage has too! Still learning this monster of a synth...Montage!
Nonetheless, have spoken with Simon at PG Technical support. According to him, while the .BIN file is unlimited. It appears that the conversion from .INI to .BIN to the limiting factor. The .INI can only accept up to 2000 lines per conversion.
So the way he suggests that I address this to to divide the Montage patch list into multiple sections. Separately add this to the .INI file, allow the conversion to .BIN and then repeat with the other sections of the Montage listing.
I'll try this later today and report back with results.
