Dear All, the amount of content within Band in a Box is a big asset. Yet, confusing and overwhelming at the same time. If I would like to select one of the Real Combos from the Booster Pak that is part of the 2022 free bonus PAK; e.g. Piano Lane Visceral Pop Ballad - how do I find that? Or, if I would like to check out one of this new RealTrack firsts: Tabla and Dholak Hnad drums. How to find them? The pickers seem unuseful for such search (or maybe I am the problem). Any useful tip from the Pros?

Step 1 is using the correct Picker for your search. Band-in-a-Box has a RealDrums Picker, RealTracks Picker and the Style Picker. Sounds simple but if you use the Style Picker for the majority of your searches it's easy to overlook the other two.
Step 2 is to effectively use the Picker filter. As an example, in the RealDrums Picker I copied and pasted "Dholak Hnad drums" from your post and didn't get any hits but when I used just "Dholak" I received the hits below.
If you're looking for a specific guitar, piano or bass you will need to add words to the RealTrack filter to narrow the choices down since there are so many RealTrack instruments of these kinds.
With styles I'm typically thinking wanting that emulates a specific song or artist so in the Style Picker I typically start by filtering on a song or artist name.
Interesting question. I think mastering the Pickers is key to saving time when inspiration first strikes. The sooner you can find the material you're seeking the more enjoyment you'll receive in return.
Thank you Video Track and Jim, I took some useful ideas from your answers. While I was aware of all 3 pickers, I had no good concept of filtering. Now I have some ideas and inspiration. It remains somewhat tricky, but that seems to be the flip-side of so much content.
But neither picker could find me a RealCombo. When I consulted the manual, at some point the label "RealCombo" pointed to a Band Styles List that could be selected within the Style picker submenue. The more I look, the less I know.
I was under the impression that a style uses real tracks that exist on their own and combines this independent pieces in a way that fits the style; wheras a Band or combo sytle is not put together afterwards, but recorded from a real combo playing together from the start.
Am I on the wrong track here?

From the PG Music Web page: "RealCombos" are a band of RealTracks in the same style. For example, the Jazz Swing 140 RealCombo includes 5 Real Instruments (Bass, Piano, Guitar, Sax, and Drums) that play at a medium swing 140 bpm tempo. RealCombos can be played at ANY tempo, but sound best near the listed tempo (which they were originally recorded at).

Thank you Video Track. This needs more effort on my side. If I search in the style picker "Jazz Swing" "any time signature" "swing" "140" "Real" , I have 3 matches. Only 1 with 5 Instruments and these differ from your description. Either I lack just this particular style, or I still have no clue.
I will dig deeper into this next year.
Have yourself a good 2022.
