Hello all.
I have imported a midi file in BIAB by selecting FILE - IMPORT - IMPORT MELODY FROM MIDI FILE, and reassigned each track to individual Utility Tracks.
The song plays and the tracks have been split correctly and I can mute each one independently, however the tempo is nowhere near to the correct 155 BPM. In order to play at the correct (or near to) tempo, I have to increase the tempo percentage to 150%. Before I did the above process, I set the new song tempo to 155 BPM and disabled the Styles.
If I just load the Midi file normally in BIAB, with every track playing on the melody track, then it will play at the correct speed.
Is this normal behaviour or is there a bug?
I know... I could use RB instead of BIAB but I prefer BIAB.

So far in our tests it appears that when a MIDI file is imported that it follows the tempo of the song project. You could send us a copy of your MIDI file to test and that way we can replicate your exact steps. Please email it to support@pgmusic.com

Hello Chantelle,
I will send you the both the midi and the SGU files for you to test.
I made sure to start a new song in BIAB, set the key, set the last chorus at 160, Set the project tempo at 155 bpm and the imported the midi file. Assigned each track to individual Utility tracks and started to play the song.
It play much slower than the 150 bpm. If the tempo is increased to play at 150%, this is near to the original speed.
Hopefully this info helps you troubleshooting.

Well...
I submitted the requested files to the tech support and heard nothing since.
I hope I don't have to wait 3 more years untill the problem get solved.
I'll let you all know what happens next.

You should have submitted it to the PG Retirement Community  . Those guys will tear it apart and either confirm a problem or find a fix.

 Well, the problem has been explained here but no one seems to have tried the above procedure. My patience has already been tested previously on this forum! I think 3 years wait must be the record. Can that be added tho the Guinness book of records?

I read you description of the problem and all I can say is, I have done very similar manipulation of midi files into BIAB in the past and I have never seen this issue with Tempo. I thought if we had the same file we could try to confirm the issue. Maybe it is the current version?? Short of that, this problem just has not been reported before.

Yes, please post the file here. MIDI files can have all sorts of stuff in them.
