apparently this feature was added in the 2009 version (at least for real drums)
Still need a way to sample a passage from the midi styles. For example, if I want to add MIDI piano from one of the 1800-plus existing styles, it would be cool to browse the styles and have an "audition" button for each instrument in the style (or even a brief passage of all instruments in the style) without having to load the demo song for that style
