It seems we can't display higher bank patches on Thru part. All other parts (bass, piano,..., soloist) display correctly the higher bank patches. Has somebody else noticed this situation ?

On my installation (2009, build 282), all the higher banks are available and play correctly on the Thru channel.
When you say, "can't display", do you mean you do not see the correct patch info? I agree with you. I only see the General MIDI equivalent patch with the same base patch number, using only the range of 1 - 128. Patch numbers greater than 128 display as the number - 128. Patch numbers greater than 256 display as the number - 256. Etc. This behavior is the same for all instruments, not just the Thru channel.
Is this what you are referring to?

If it is what Matt refers to, I brought that up during beta testing.
Seems we are stuck with the GM bank labeling for the time being.
Maybe in future versions the patch maps can be referenced, only time and Peter can tell about that, so the Wishlist forum here is the right place for this one.

Yes, Matt, for Thru Channel, I only see the GM MIDI equivalent patch and not the real names of the higher patches as entered in my own *.pat file.

OK, we're on the right track then. I remember Mac's report now. Goes back a ways.
But isn't this a problem with all instruments, not just the Thru channel? I think the problem is really called something like "Want Higher Patches, not GM, Displayed for All Instruments".
