After generating a RT blues harmonica track for a song's ending I found I wanted to insert an extra note at a higher pitch just before the last fade out note.

In the Audio Edit window I highlighted, cut and pasted the last note to the right a bit to give me a gap to insert the new note.
Then I copied the note before the last one, pasted it into the gap and with a little adjusting got it at the right beat.

Then I highlighted the inserted note, right clicked on it and used the Audio Effects>Pitch Shift to raise it to the right place on the musical scale to sound right.

It worked perfectly !
But I would like to know how to specify the right number of Semitones and or Cents in the Pitch Shift window to achieve the note I want.

How many of the above (Semitones and or Cents)do I need to enter to make a note a sharp or flat or to raise it up or down to the next note on the musical scale.
Keep in mind I play by ear and have very limited musicalogical knowledge, though I am good at making up long words.

Either a verrrrry simple explanation on using the Pitch Shift dialog box (the Help definitions are Geek to me) or a link would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and have a good one,
Carkins
