I'd append it to be a 'Save Backup Version?' feature, where it saved a backup copy, not writing over the original, and always saved over that single backup to save space. I wouldn't want it to write over an original copy unless I invoked it.
Also the popup would need to be disabled during playing or recording and only show up when the play engine is idle, ideally.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
