From the pgmusic site's "Education For the Classroom" page (http://www.pgmusic.com/educators/):

"Generate original songs for sight reading drills at any level."

It's the "at any level" I'm having trouble realizing

I'm having trouble getting easy/simple melodies with Melodist so far - I can't see any way to control the simplicity. Is there a way? I've tried many of the built-in Melodists (#218 through #1023) and they're still more complicated for my beginning sight reading abilities.

Or, is Soloist better for this? If so, what controls (and where are they) do you use to eliminate complex rhythmic figures and keep the melodic skips from being too large?

Of course, slowing down the tempo helps, but I'd really like to master simple exercises at normal tempos.

Thanks!
