Based on a true story, Aleck Rand wrote replacement lyrics to a song so famous that it's difficult to think of any that are more well known ("Happy Birthday to You"? ... not much comes to mind). I can tell you that the original was done by two ASCAP artists, that the legal work title is Work ID: 490252394, and that my ASCAP license permits me to reproduce the melody and arrangement. Any more information would ruin the surprise.

The hero is Big Sol, late father of my best buddy Paul. He was a hard working fur salesman, perpetually on the road. And he was big, both in stature and personality - the kind of guy that could command a room just by walking in.

Aleck Rand does the vocals and plays all the non-MIDI instruments except drums, which are handled by RT artist Craig Scott. He arranged the MIDI horn lines to be as faithful to the original as possible.
