The hero is Big Sol, late father of my best buddy Paul. He was a hard working fur salesman, perpetually on the road. And he was big, both in stature and personality - the kind of guy that could command a room just by walking in.

Aleck Rand does the vocals and plays all the non-MIDI instruments except drums, which are handled by RT artist Craig Scott. He arranged the MIDI horn lines to be as faithful to the original as possible.

Actually, the song was written by Isaac Hayes and David Porter, and the publishing is owned by Warner/Chappell. Mr. Hayes is with B.M.I. Mr Porter is with ASCAP.

According to ASCAP:

"Title registrations do not serve as a notice of all rights administered for a work. To obtain clarity regarding the rights that may or may not have been licensed to a person, please contact the publisher of the original work."

My question would be: Did you obtain the right to re-write the lyrics to this song from the publisher (Warner/Chappell)? If not, you have opened PG Music up to copyright litigation.
