Hi all,

I have quite a few paper music books which did not come with accompanying CD's, but have plenty of musical examples. The most recent is a book by Vincent Persichetti "Twentieth Century Harmony" recommended by my current music teacher. It has lots of examples, and I'd like to hear them without wasting time on 'data input'.

I was wondering, if I was able to get a picture of the music on the staff into into a .jpg, .pdf, or bitmap format, what program(s) would most reliably allow me to convert them into MIDI format so I could hear the examples ?
