I've seen 'em dealt with by everything from hammers to 2X4's
I don't judge the method, just the results.

For those who don't think like I do (tune out now if you are squeamish) here's an interesting tip;

They are very good BBQ'd
Extremely easy to skin/clean and the bone shape makes 'falling off the bone' almost expected.

Just sayin'
